The cake was delicious and looked great--however, the cake flavor was wrong, and so was the cake design. Also, the macaroons we ordered to be in our wedding theme colors were wrong as well...meaning our entire bakery order for our wedding was wrong.
I found out later on (after the wedding) that the cake flavor we chose for the top tier couldn't be done because it was a fruit flavor (future reference for future clients of hers) and also that we macaroons we ordered were made but didn't come out right. I completely appreciate not giving us macaroons that aren't up to standard.
Beth and Kimberly are the most dedicated to their bakery and customer satisfaction is utmost I important to them. Thank you both for the kindness and above and beyond customer care.
I like Ugga Mugga, but this put a very bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended).
Best bakery ever! Beth and the ladies really know how to make awesome stuff, especially ‘nana pudding, peanut butter bomb cake and the maple bacon things! Super service and a joy to work with too :-)
She is a very busy woman because she honestly does make a good product, but she desperately needs a secretary to take care of her customers if there is an issue.
My next complaint is when I spoke about the issues to my wedding planner, my wedding planner communicated the discrepancy to Beth. I was offered a $60 refund on an almost $400 order. (including my deposit that she forgot she cashed almost a year ago). I asked for $200. I received it in the mail today, but never received any kind of apology or remorse from the baker. I wasn't one of her big spenders, so I guess I wasn't a high priority, but this was still MY WEDDING. I am a very fair and flexible person and had I been communicated with, this review would be very different.
My number one complaint is communication. Even though the cake and macaroon order with descriptions was on our contract, we had to communicate twice the flavors and design--which still were wrong once the big day came. I would've loved to be a part of the decision making process on alternate ideas for cake flavors and macaroon flavors--but was not given the opportunity. She decided for me what I was going to have at my wedding.
Your desserts are top notch, and if something isn't as it seems it should be, let them know, they will get to the bottom and figure out what went wrong. In my case, Beth was so apologetic, refunded my money going beyond offered another cake of my choice, when I wanted on her. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You.
Let me start by saying Beth is an amazing baker. I have seen her in her shop whipping up the most beautiful creations--which is why I was so excited to have her make my wedding cake.
Great bakers! Their products are absolutely fantastic! They are very accommodating to special orders, which I think is important to the status saying a steady client base.
I've got nothing but good things to say about this place. Everything on the menu is baked to perfection and you'll want to come back for more! Beth and her team are extremely talented in baking cakes for all occasions. If you want a quick treat or a specialty cake this is the place to go!
